Mayor Dele Oshinowo, the Chief Incident Commander, Agboyi-Ketu LCDA has exhorted residents of the LCDA to comply fully with the Lagos State Government’s regulation banning public gatherings of more than fifty individuals for certain weeks.

Describing the move as a pragmatic approach to combat the infectious disease, the council chairman said the decision will fortify the ongoing cautionary moves of the LCDA to enjoy the existing status of a coronavirus-free locality.

In a statement released by the first citizen of the LCDA today, Mayor Dele enjoined residents and individuals beyond to stay clear of all forms of gatherings, stressing that it is a worthy sacrifice of all and sundry in order to curtail the global pandemic.

He further noted that the relinquishing of such engagements was not only limited to congregrational worship in the religious arena, but all public gatherings.

The statement further gave a comprehensive run-through of the concerted efforts undertaken by the present administration to keep the LCDA safe.

Among them were the organization of sensitization programs to keep the residents abreast on preventionary measures, training and briefing of health workers on infection disease control and personal use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

The procurement and installation of hand sanitizer dispensers in schools, and public arenas.
